While there are literally dozens and dozens of brands out there, we only support those brands that we feel have top quality standards and nutritional value at a fair price. That is why you may see some of our offerings change from time to time…so that we can ensure we are always offering only the best. Don’t worry…come on in anytime and we’ll be happy to assist you in making a great choice for your animals.

"Can I bring my pet into Appalachian Tails?"
Definitely! We are looking forward to meeting you and your pets. Pets are very welcome! As a common courtesy to all other customers, we just ask that you always have your pet leashed and under control. Some pets get nervous in a store setting, so please use your judgment on whether or not your pet will enjoy a visit to our store.

"Is Appalachian Tails a pet store chain?"
Absolutely not! We pride ourselves on being an independent store that can cater to pets and their people on an individual level. We are proud to be part of Glastonbury and look forward to exceeding all of your expectations!

"Do you sell dogs or cats?"
We do NOT offer dogs or cats (nor puppies or kittens!) at Appalachian Tails. The reason is we believe that there are other great places to adopt one of these great animals…such as the local animal shelter, rescue groups, or a reputable breeder. However, we are excited to help you care for your dog or cat (or puppy or kitten!)…as we have a full line of quality products, supplies, food and know-how!
