I can't believe that my boy is 8 years old today! Like many of you, I can't imagine my life without my dog, Tuckerman.
The first time I saw Tuck, he was 4 days old, eyes were shut. The woman who bred the
litter wouldn't even let me near them, as they were so young that she didn't want them disturbed. She showed each pup from the litter to me, one by one, through the window.
Every week after that, for 8 weeks...I drove all the way to northern MA just to visit Tuck and his littermates. The later weeks I actually got to play with them all in the yard. Cute is an understatement. His "real" parents, Oliver and Emma...are beautiful labs too...and getting to hang out with them, and seeing them with their litter, was great.
Anyway, finally at week 8, I got to bring Tuck home with me. My life has been different ever since that day. Tuck is with me almost every waking moment (and most sleeping moments too). The bond between a guy and his dog can be amazing. I'm also so happy that Tuck has become a "friend" to so many customers & their families. Not an hour goes by at the store where someone is not petting Tuck, giving him a treat, or asking "Where's Tuck".
How I feel about Tuck makes me understand how our customers feel about their animals. That's why we strive so much to provide only the best foods and supplies...and the best information.
