We recently redesigned our huge, 210 gallon display aquarium at Appalachian Tails! Considering lots of suggestions, including our fans on Facebook, we decided to make a "South American River" display. It's an awesome display that includes a great looking environment of driftwood, rocks and plenty of plants.
And, of course, the fish are the highlight!
In keeping with the "South American" theme, we currently have firemouth cichlids, convict cichlids, a Jack Dempsey cichlid and a Red Bellied Pacu on display.
These fish are exceptionally colorful and always on the move. We have plans to place a HUGE variety of others in there, and are slowly building the population.
Your family will LOVE to see and feed them. Our Pacu is a huge hit with children, as it will come right to the top of the tank and eat fruit from your hands! And, of course, we encourage kids to feed them so that they can have fun and learn a bit about them too!
Our team loves to share information about these cool fish and will be happy to give your kids some food to place in the tank.
So pop in soon, bring the family, and see our awesome new South American River Display!
