Even though we do not stock this food, we want to alert you, just in case you are using it for your pets. We do not stock this product because it does not fit into our nutritional guidelines.
Proctor & Gamble has issued a recall for 3-ounce and 5.5-ounce cans of Iams ProActive Health canned Cat and Kitten Food, according to a recall notice from the U.S. Food And Drug Administration. The recall is limited to North America and does not include all Iams' products. The voluntary recall was issued after testing found the food may contain insufficient levels of thiamine, or vitamin B1, which is essential for cats. A lack of thiamine can cause a variety of symptoms, including vomiting, weight loss and, in more severe cases, downward curving of the neck, seizures and more.
While we attempt to stay informed and post information here...we encourage you to contact Iams if you are feeding this product, to ensure you have the most up to date information.
If you would like to learn more about all the cat foods that we carry, and why, our team would be thrilled to help.
